Hailing from Toronto, Alison studied dance and first came to Modo Yoga as a way to supplement her training. Little did she know it would become so much more than a sweaty physical workout for her. After a dance-related injury, the Modo practice was a huge part of her recovery, providing both physical rehabilitation and emotional support. Alison is certified to teach Modo, Modo Flow, and Yin; she’s also certified to teach Pure Barre, the Lagree Fitness Method, and Mat Level 1 & 2 Pilates. Alison teaches with a holistic focus on health and body awareness unique to each individual person. Her background as a dancer definitely comes into play when teaching other modalities, and she hopes to inspire students with her love of movement.
